Make Veleska your first stop on First Friday in June. In addition to new pieces from Kathryn we’re very proud to feature the jewelry of Christel Hoffmann. A little bit about Christel:
Christel Hoffmann mixes her handmade glass beads with sterling silver, natural stones and other glass beads to create beautiful wearable art. Her life long interest in rocks and gems led her to a BFA in Metals/Jewelry, with minors in Art History & Geology, from Boston University.
She makes her original jewelry designs with tools that belonged to her grandfather, a goldsmith from Germany. She also teaches workshops in Precious Metal Clay, lampworking glass and other jewelry making techniques.

And we’ll also have new pieces from photographer, Jan Portwood. Come and see new gorgeous photographs from her “In The Country” series> Here’s one…

One of things we get asked about regularly is how to re-use old jewelry. Many of our custom pieces start out life as old rings, pendants and bracelets. Sometimes though a customer will have a piece they want changed without creating something entirely new.
This is an idea Kathryn came up with for a customer that had an old engagement ring she couldn’t wear any longer. So Kathryn made a beautiful pendant from it.
Do you have something old, you don’t wear any longer? Do you want a new, unique piece of jewelry? Bring it in to the studio and talk to Kathryn.

Clasp bars are made by hand. These will be soldered onto jewelry and then polished.
All of the exclusive Veleska design jewelry is made right here in Lancaster, in the Veleska studio. In a world of cookie-cutter duplicates made of cheap plate and base metals, Veleska Jewelry is made only from the very highest quality sterling, gold, precious stones and genuine Swarovski crystals. We make most of the parts for our jewelry as well rather than buying off the shelf.
And the best part?
Hand-made quality doesn’t cost more money. New customers are regularly surprised at the value in our creations. We’re very proud of everything we make and want to invite to come in and see for yourself. Your can wear a unique, made by hand piece of jewelry for less than you thought possible.

We’ll be adding new designs to our products page very soon. Here is a brief preview of what the new bracelet looks like. Of course, the best way to see these is to visit the store and see them in person.
