All night long, they danced on the branches and covered them with spider webs. When Santa Claus came with his sack of gifts, he smiled to see how happy the spiders were, but he knew that the mother would not be pleased with this mess. With love in his heart, Santa gently touched the spider webs and the spiders started to sparkle and shine! Ever since then, people have hung tinsel on their Christmas trees. It has also become a custom to include a spider among the decorations on the Christmas tree.
